Terms of service

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before placing an order with BOKZ. By purchasing from us, you agree to be bound by these terms. We've written them in plain English - if anything is unclear, just email us at hello@bokz.life.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales and comply with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

2. These Terms
These terms apply to all sales of products through our website at www.bokz.life. By placing an order, you confirm that:
You are at least 18 years old, or are placing the order with the consent of a parent or guardian.
The information you provide is accurate and complete.
You accept these terms in full.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force at the time you place your order is the version that applies to that order.

3. Our Products
BOKZ offers a curated box of everyday living essentials - approximately 40 items - designed for students and anyone moving into a new home. The full contents of each BOKZ are listed on our website.

We take reasonable care to ensure product descriptions and images are accurate, but minor variations in colour, finish, or packaging may occur. These do not constitute a defect.

BOKZ reserve the right to amend the box content subject to availability.

All products are sold as a set. Individual items are not available for separate purchase unless otherwise stated.

4. Placing An Order
When you place an order through www.bokz.life, you are making an offer to purchase. A contract between you and BOKZ is only formed when we send you an order confirmation email.

We reserve the right to decline any order, for example if:
A product is unavailable or out of stock.
We are unable to verify your payment.
Your delivery address falls outside our delivery area.
There has been a pricing or description error on our website.

If we cannot fulfil your order, we will let you know by email and issue a full refund within 5 business days.

5. Pricing And Payment
All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. Delivery costs, if any, are shown at checkout before you confirm your order.

We accept payment via the methods shown at checkout. Payment is taken at the time of ordering. We use secure, third-party payment processors and do not store your card details.

In the event of a pricing error on our website, we will contact you before processing your order. You will have the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

6. Delivery
We currently deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom only.

We offer next-day delivery on orders placed before 1pm on working days (Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays). Orders placed after 1pm or on weekends will be dispatched the next working day.

You may request a preferred delivery date during checkout. While we will do our best to accommodate your chosen date, we cannot guarantee delivery on a specific date. During peak periods (particularly September and January), we recommend ordering at least 5 working days in advance.

Delivery is to the address you provide. Please ensure the address is accurate and that someone is available to receive the delivery, or that your accommodation can accept parcels on your behalf. We are not responsible for failed deliveries caused by an incorrect address or inability to access the delivery location.

If your delivery is significantly delayed due to circumstances within our control, please contact us and we will do our best to resolve the situation.

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Ownership passes to you on receipt of full payment.

7. Your Right To Cancel
As a consumer purchasing online, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of delivery under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, without giving any reason - this is your statutory 'cooling-off' right.

To exercise this right, you must notify us in writing (email is fine) within 14 days of receiving your order. Please email hello@bokz.life with your order number and the subject line 'Cancellation Request'.

If you cancel under this right:
You must return the goods to us unused, in their original condition and packaging, within 14 days of your cancellation notice.
You are responsible for the cost of return postage unless we agree otherwise.
We will refund the full purchase price, including standard delivery costs, within 14 days of receiving the returned goods (or proof of postage, whichever is earlier).

This right does not apply if any items in the box have been used, opened (where opening constitutes use), or are otherwise not in a resaleable condition.

Cancellation before dispatch: if you need to cancel before your order has been dispatched, please contact us immediately at hello@bokz.life. We will do our best to stop the order. If it has already been dispatched, your statutory cancellation rights above will apply.

8. Damaged, Defective, Or Incorrect Items
If your BOKZ arrives with damaged, defective, or incorrect items, please contact us within 7 days of delivery at hello@bokz.life with:
Your order number.
A description of the issue.
Photographs showing the damage or incorrect item.

We will, at our discretion, offer a replacement item, a partial refund, or a full refund as appropriate. We aim to resolve all such issues within 2 business days.

Your rights under this clause are in addition to, and do not affect, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including your rights to a repair, replacement, or refund for goods that are not of satisfactory quality, not fit for purpose, or not as described.

9. Limitation Of Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for:
Death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Any liability that cannot be excluded by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

Subject to the above, our total liability to you in connection with any order shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for that order.

We are not liable for any loss or damage that is not a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms, or for any indirect or consequential loss.

10. Intellectual Property
All content on www.bokz.life - including text, images, branding, and the BOKZ name and logo - is owned by or licensed to BOKZ Ltd. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any of this content without our written permission.

11. Privacy
Your use of our website and the personal data you provide when ordering are governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. You can read it in full at www.bokz.life/privacy.

12. Complaints
We take complaints seriously. If you're unhappy with anything, please email hello@bokz.life and we will acknowledge your message within 1 business day and aim to resolve the matter within 5 business days.

If we are unable to resolve your complaint, you may be entitled to use an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) scheme. We will provide details of any applicable scheme on request.

You may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr, though as a UK business, our primary dispute resolution is through UK channels.

13. General
These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and BOKZ in relation to your purchase. They supersede any prior representations or agreements.

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation, for example in the event of a business sale. We will notify you if this happens. Your rights under these terms will not be affected.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that if you are resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
